  We had an amazing 5 course dinner by Chef Doug! It was such a treat to bring him in for a night for our group of friends staying in Avalon for the week. We are a bunch of New Yorker food snobs and thought all of Doug’s recipes and courses were incredible. He also used very local and fresh ingredients which is extra special these days.   Doug cooked dinner for our bachelorette party of 15 and everything was incredible! He was so easy to work with from start to finish. Doug put together a wonderful menu that was conscious of our budget and food allergies and was super communicative leading up to the event. Day of Doug went above and beyond his chef duties and helped to set up our living room space for the appetizers , brought a table so we could all fit at one long table, made a beautiful tablescape and fully cleaned the kitchen when he was finished. All the food was delicious (we had charcuterie, Buffalo chicken meatballs, filet mignon deviled eggs as apps, a spring salad to start, petite filet for our main and chocolate flourless cake for dessert) and the timing of courses couldn’t have been better. We had so much fun with our amazing dinner - Thank you Doug!

  I can’t begin to express what a wonderful experience we had! Our dinner with Doug was absolutely amazing. We were celebrating a 40th birthday and had 13 women who all gave rave reviews about our dinner. Doug was responsive and extremely personable.   Huge thanks to Doug for the amazing 60th birthday dinner party you helped us pull off in Cape May last week!   What an exceptional experience from beginning to end!   Your creativity, thoughtfulness, good humor and just perfectly awesome food made the entire event more than we could have imagined!

Thanks, too, to Laura, who rounded out the evening with her warm and fun approach and tremendous attention to detail.  From set up to pack up it was so impressive to see the two of you eagerly at work to make for such a great evening for all of us.   And all of this great food, service and amazing experience at a price that no restaurant could come close to beating!  Much more than just worthwhile for everything you created for us!

  Excellent food, service and experience. If you are looking for a private chef to make your vacation great I would highly recommend Red Fish catering.   In September of 2021 my husband and I were married at our home in Cape May County.  We were introduced to Red Fish Catering by a friend (what a hidden gem) and were so pleased to find Doug.  He and his crew made our day very special.  They were all pleasant, professional and so easy to work with.  The food was wonderful, and exceeded our expectations .
